Rosen Method Bodywork

The Rosen Method, developed by Marion Rosen, is gentle, hands-on bodywork that uses the hands to listen rather than manipulate. While the therapist focuses on chronic muscle tension, relaxation occurs, breathing deepens, and unconscious feelings, attitudes and memories may emerge.

The Rosen therapist has been trained to notice subtle changes in muscle tension and breathing, which indicate that the client becomes more aware of his/her body and internal experience. The therapist responds with touch and words, which allow the client to begin to recognize what has been held by unconscious muscle tension.

As a result, deeply engrained tensions and old patterns may be released, freeing the client to experience more aliveness, new life choices, and a greater sense of well being.

Beneficial for clients with physical pain and discomfort, muscle tension, postural problems, stress, as well as persons who want to increase their ease in physical activity, use their body for self-expression (dancers, athletes, public performers etc.) or are looking for physical, emotional and spiritual growth.
