One Day Introduction Workshop in Thai Yoga Massage
Thai Yoga Massage based on the Traditional Thai Massage (TTM) was brought to Thailand more than two thousand years ago as part of the spiritual practice of Buddhism. Having developed together with Traditional Thai Medicine, it contains elements of Yoga, Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine. The massage works to loosen blocks and relieve tensions by pressing and stretching the component points of the fundamental energy lines, which map the energy body's structure onto the physical. In this way the flow of energy throughout the body can be restored, stimulating blood circulation and body detoxification, as well as assisting the nervous system in secreting endorphins. These results relieve pain and have a positive effect on the body's general well-being.

This one day workshop will give the opportunity to learn the basic techniques of Thai Yoga Massage (in a dynamic style) in self-massage first and then continuing with a partner. The participants will practice the Thai Energy Lines with accupuncture massage and learn some rocking, pulling and classical stretching methods. They will use their palms, thumbs, ellbows and feet with leaning and circular pressure with a specal focus on using their own body weight.
The workshops leads through a complete massage routine starting from the feet, passing through different positions and ending with a head + face massage.
The workshop is designed for beginners without or with previous massage experience. The self + partner massage techniques can be continued to be used in daily life afterwards.
The workshop will be taught by Kai Esko (assisted by Rossella). Kai Esko gives Thai Yoga Massage since 2004. He has studied in various courses over many years regulary in Thai Massage Courses in Bangkok ("Wat Pho") and Chiang Mai ("Old Medical Hospital", "Sunshine" and "Loi Kroh").
