Occupying a beautiful seven acre beachfront compound approximately 5 km north of Puducherry (formerly known as Pondicherry), Quiet Healing Center is Auroville's natural healing facility.
The land was previously owned by a family with close ties to the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and, in years past, The Mother occasionally visited the site. She remarked that a powerful healing energy was concentrated here and gave general indications about developing a healing centre on the land.

Many years later, in the mid 1980's, one of The Mother's former secretaries was inspired to help realize this vision. Funds were raised, the land acquired for Auroville and construction began. The Quiet Healing Center opened its doors in February 1997.

Healing work at Quiet is based on the understanding that the human being is first and foremost a spiritual being seeking to express its true self through its mental, vital (emotional) and physical ‘bodies’ or instruments. Disharmonies occur as the more or less ignorant instruments deform the spiritual energies, which try to manifest through them. These disharmonies eventually manifest as dis-ease.
The various natural, non-invasive therapies offered at Quiet all seek, in one way or another, to address the client on an energetic level. Each therapy (and therapist) honours and strives to work in harmony with the body's own deep wisdom, recognizing the inner spirit as ultimately the only healer.
Massage and aquatic bodywork courses and workshops related to health and healing are organized throughout the year.
Guest rooms with aesthetically pleasing, comfortably designed double rooms are available for those who wish to stay at the Quiet Healing Center while taking treatments. Our therapies, courses and workshops are also open for clients who are not staying with us.
